Location: an hour from the Costa Blanca
Tollos is just off the CV-720 road on the CV-713. It is an hour’s drive from the coast, half an hour from Cocentaina and Alcoy, and just over an hour from Alicante airport. The GPS of the restaurant is 38.45.25N/0.16.25W.
Tollos is in a unique position on the CV-713, which links two inland valleys in the Costa Blanca Mountains: Vall de la Seta and Vall de la Gallinera. It’s an ideal destination for those seeking peace and quiet in the unspoilt countryside and mountains where it's possible to walk all day without seeing another soul.
But the village is still only half an hour away from all the amenities available in Alcoy, Cocentaina or Muro, which have a large range of shops like Carrefour, Mercadona, weekly markets for fresh produce and tradesmen such as plumbers, ironmongers and electricians.
These nearby towns also have their own cultural traditions, with Alcoi’s famous Moors and Christians – the most impressive in Spain, they have been declared an International Tourist attraction – and Cocentaina’s Fira de Tots Sants, held around All Saints day, which dates back to 1346 and attracts up to half a million visitors every year.
